VMRDT112 - UZI - Tommy Tank EP Release date: 31st August 2018 Viral-Mental Records welcomes the one and only Uzi back to the fold, who brings with him a brand new selection of upfront jungle and drum & bass bombs.
'He Da Ho' rewinds us back to '96 when jump-up jungle was King (and not a dirty word!), with it's infectious, bouncing bassline, relentless beats and obscure vocal sample. This one's designed to get feet moving on the dancefloor. Prepare yourself for some deep, jungle 'Impact' as UZI unleashes a barrage of rugged, steppin' breaks and dark bass drones, flavoured with dubwise samples to create a moody and atmospheric stepper, destined to rattle your bassbins. Coming in with the heavy artillery, the cheekily titled 'Tommy Tank' introduces us to an exhilarating blend of futuristic beats paired with an ascending/descending, devastating bass drone melody to shake any rave right down to the foundations. Also taking it's influences from classic, mid-nineties, dancefloor orientated drum & bass, 'Wu Tang Book' offers up a twisted techstep bass snarl over an unstoppable 2-step break, peppered with vintage kung-fu flick movie dialogue.
